Attention all logistics professionals!A major policy update has just been released: a significant adjustment to the export tax rebates for photovoltaic products and batteries will take effect in 2026, which directly impacts your export costs and profits. Be sure to keep these key dates in mind!

On March 3, the State Taxation Administration issued the 2026A Version of Export Tax Rebate Rate Library, which mainly implements the Fiscal and Tax Announcement No. 2 released on January 8. Starting from April 1, the VAT export tax rebates for photovoltaic products and batteries will undergo a major overhaul!

Attention all logistics professionals!A major policy update has just been released

For photovoltaic products:Starting April 1, the tax rebate rate will be cut directly from 9% to 0%, with the rebate cancelled entirely and no transition period. This is a critical point you must note!

For battery products:There will be a buffer period:

From April 1 to December 31, 2026: the rebate rate will be reduced from 9% to 6%;

Starting January 1, 2027: the rate will be cut directly to 0%, with full cancellation.

Important Reminder:For products subject to consumption tax, the consumption tax rebate and exemption policies remain unchanged.The eligibility for tax rebate is unifiedly based on the export date shown on the Customs Declaration Form for Export Goods. Do not suffer losses from tax rebates due to timing differences!

This adjustment will definitely raise your export costs. We give you three key suggestions:

Battery enterprises must take full advantage of the 2026 transition period, arrange shipments reasonably, and ship as early as possible.

All relevant enterprises must closely follow the customs declaration date and act strictly in accordance with the policy to avoid losses.

Recalculate your export costs immediately, adjust your pricing strategy, and communicate with overseas customers in advance to avoid failed negotiations over price.

This policy adjustment will have a considerable impact on the photovoltaic and battery export industries. Please take it seriously, make plans in advance, and minimize losses!
